Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Arivo Arivu Tutoring different?
Unlike traditional centers that use high school students or general worksheets, your child is mentored directly by Rathi Shan, B.Eng., a Technical Architect with 20+ years of leadership. We don’t just teach math; we teach the logic, precision, and problem-solving frameworks used in the tech industry.
What is a "High-Focus Pod"?
We limit sessions to a maximum of 3 students. This "Pod" structure mimics an agile engineering team—ensuring every student receives personalized mentorship while benefiting from collaborative logic.
What if my child misses a class?
To maintain the integrity of our 3-student limit, we cannot offer make-up sessions or refunds for student absences. Your tuition secures an exclusive spot in that specific pod. Consistency is vital to the "Engineered Logic" roadmap.
When are the official Make-Up slots used?
Dedicated MAKE-UP slots are reserved strictly for instances where the tutor must reschedule a session. This ensures your child always receives their full 8 sessions per month, even if a professional conflict arises.
What is the "2-Minute Transition" rule?
To maximize learning, sessions conclude at :58 past the hour. This 120-second window allows for a professional "handover." We ask that the next group be ready 5 minutes early to ensure a seamless start.
How much is tuition and how do I pay?
Tuition is $195 per month for 8 sessions (2 per week). We accept Interac E-Transfer or Cash on the 1st of every month to keep our administrative process lean and focused on teaching.
Do you provide homework help?
Yes. We "debug" foundational gaps while ensuring your child stays ahead of the Ontario Ministry of Education standards. We bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world logic.
What are the behavioral expectations?
We maintain a high-standard environment similar to a professional lab. We operate on Mutual Respect: respect for peers, respect for the workspace, and a commitment to focus.
Is there a registration or assessment fee?
No. At Arivo Arivu, we believe your investment should go directly toward your child’s learning. Unlike many centers that charge a $50–$100 enrollment fee, we have zero registration fees. You only pay for the sessions your child attends within their pod.
